HORIZONT, die 2006 gegründete Hard Rock Band aus Schweden, freut sich darauf ankündigen zu können, dass sie dieser Tage einen weltweiten Vertrag mit Century Media Records unterschrieben hat.

Horisont haben gemeinsam mit Bands wie Witchcraft, Graveyard etc. dem Retro Rock neuen Glanz verliehen und die skandinavische Szene stabilisiert und weiter entwickelt. Nach der Veröffentlichung ihres vierten Studioalbums (Odyssey) Ende 2015, ging der Fünfer auf eine sechswöchige Europa-Tour mit Kadavar und ihren Label-Kollegen The Shrine. Inzwischen schreiben sie eifrig an neuem material, bevor sie im Sommer 2016 ins Studio gehen um den Nachfolder von Odyssey aufzunehmen. Vermutlich erscheint das neu Album Anfang 2017 über century Media Records, womit dann endlich neues Material zum gepflegten Abschädeln im 70er-Style  ins haus steht. Noch in diesem Jahr allerdings, erscheint eine brandneue Single, die laut unseren Informationen Ende 2016 in den Läden stehen soll.

Die Band sagte Folgendes zum Deal: “We are super excited to be signing with the mighty and highly acclaimed Century Media and look very much forward to be working together. Right now we are in the most creative era of this bands existence and this will spill right over into the new album we are currently working on. The first taster off the new stuff will hit the streets by the fall and we’re pretty sure it will electrocute your soul. In the meantime – see you on the road!”

Jens Prueter, A&R Century Media Europe, kommentierte: “I first saw HORISONT at the Rock Hard Festival in 2013 where they turned the amphitheater into a sea of head banging and beer raising. Seeing them again last year, I was impressed how they took their retro influences and progressed into a league of their own. These guys are as tight as their trousers. Looking forward to join their journey! Thanks to all of the guys and the equally amazing Peter from Crusher Records who discovered them first and is still the captain of the ship!”
